Republic of Ireland U21 Head Coach Noel King has drafted Kenny McEvoy and Harry Charsley into his squad for Friday's UEFA U21 Championships Qualifying Round Group 2 fixture against Lithuania and Tuesday's meeting with Italy.
Tottenham winger McEvoy is currently on-loan at Colchester United and the 21-year-old has been called in to replace QPR's Reece Grego-Cox ,who suffered a facial injury in training.
The Irish host the Lithuanians at the RSC in Waterford on Friday (5.45pm), then travel to Vicenza to face the Italians on Tuesday, 13 October (4.00pm Irish).
McEvoy played his schoolboy football with Villa FC in Waterford and has seven U21 caps with one goal at that level.
King's side beat Andorra home and away in their first two games in the group while Lithuania have lost all three of their opening games.
Charsley was also drafted in over the weekend after Everton club-mate Sam Byrne aggravated a hamstring injury.
"Injuries are part and parcel of international football but everybody that's here is in good shape and ready for Friday's game," said King.
"We have to keep our focus on Lithuania and if the Waterford public comes out to support us that could help make home advantage tell."
