Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup holders St Patrick’s Athletic were handed a testing trip to Cork City in the draw for round 3 of the competition at the Showgrounds in Sligo this morning.
The Saints will travel to Turner’s Cross in the glamour tie of the round which is scheduled for the week-ending 23 August.
Other all-Premier Division ties see Galway United hosting Dundalk and Bohemians welcoming Bray Wanderers to Dalymount Park.
Non-league side Cockhill Celtic were handed a home tie against Longford Town, while Munster Senior League outfit Cobh Wanderers received a home draw against Sligo Rovers and AUL outfit Sheriff YC also were drawn at home to Athlone Town.
One all Leinster Senior League fixture sees Dublin sides Tolka Rovers and Killester United meet.
