Manchester United have tabled a bid to bring Real Madrid full-back Sergio Ramos to Old Trafford.

It's believed the Premier League side have lodged a €40m bid for Ramos, who is said to be keen on the move to north-west England.

Ramos' contract ends at the close of the 2017 season and the Spain international defender is looking to leave the club and gain a longer contract elsewhere.

The highly-rated defender has won three La Liga titles, a Champions League, a UEFA Super Cup, a FIFA Club World Cup, two Copa del Reys and a Spanish Supercup in his time with Real.

He was also part of Spain’s Euro 2008, Euro 2012 and the 2010 World Cup winning squads.
