Dundalk midfielder Richie Towell has been named April’s SSE Airtricity/Soccer Writers’ Association of Ireland Player of the Month for April.
The 23-year-old netted seven goals in five games as Stephen Kenny’s Lilywhites' side moved four points clear at the top of the Premier Division table.
"We had a lot of tough games during the month so I'm delighted," said Towell, who has now won the award three times.
"It makes it more enjoyable when you're winning and all the lads are in great form at the minute."
Towell saw off competition for the award from Shamrock Rovers striker Mikey Drennan who finished second and Bohemians goalkeeper Dean Delany who was third.
