Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski has been included in the German champions' squad for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Barcelona on Wednesday despite suffering serious facial injuries sustained last week.  

The Poland striker fractured his nose, upper jaw and suffered concussion in their German Cup loss on penalties to Borussia Dortmund last week and was doubtful for their game in Spain.      

But Bayern said he was part of the team set to fly out to Barcelona on Tuesday as they look to make their fourth Champions League final in six seasons.           

Lewandowski sported a carbon mask in training on Monday and will wear it against Barcelona, should he be picked to play.           

The 26-year-old, who joined from Dortmund last season, had been in sensational form in recent weeks, scoring nine goals in his last 11 matches for the Bavarians, who last week secured the Bundesliga title.
