Six Chelsea players have made the PFA Barclays Premier League team of the year, underscoring the dominance of Jose Mourinho’s side this season.
Diego Costa is selected alongside Tottenham’s Harry Kane up front, and behind him Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matić are joined by Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho and Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal.
Ryan Bertrand is recognised for his imressive season with Southampton, selected as the only non-Chelsea player in the defensive line.
Also in that line are the evergreen John Terry, Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanović, Chelsea’s defensive strength reflected in the side.
Manchester United’s David de Gea is an unsurprising selection in goal, the young Spaniard having been one of the Red Devils’ more impressive players this season.
