Limerick 0-3 Bohemians

Bohemians got their 2015 Airtricity League Premier Division season off to the ideal start with a dominant performance over a Limerick FC side that looked well off the pace.

In Keith Long’s first competitive game as Bohemians’ manager, it was Adam Evans, Dean Kelly and Lorcan Fitzgerald who all got on the score sheet in a game played in front of an attendance of 920.

With barely 40 seconds on the clock, Limerick keeper Conor O’Donnell saved an initial flick header from Kelly but the impressive Evans had the simplest of tasks to tap home from less than a yard.

Bohemians made it two on 15 minutes. Evans latched on to a long ball but Robbie Williams attempted clearance only dropped into the path of Kelly who slotted home from six yards.

It was game over in the 57th minute when Fitzgerald stood up to strike home a left footed free kick into the corner of the net from all of 26 yards out.
