Hull midfielder Robbie Brady will miss six weeks with a calf injury that is also set to rule him out of Ireland’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Poland at the end of this month.

Brady suffered the injury after falling into a hole at his club’s training ground last Friday and missed their 1-0 defeat to Stoke on Saturday.

"Unfortunately Brady has fallen down a hole in the training ground and it looks an awful injury, I have to say," Hull manager Steve Bruce said yesterday.

Poland visit Aviva Stadium on Sunday 29 March as Group D leaders, three points ahead of Ireland, who are level with Germany and Scotland on seven points.

Brady had come on as a substitute in three of the team's four qualifying games to date.
