Galway United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Conor Winn from Finn Harps.

The 23-year-old made 21 league appearances for the Donegal outfit in 2014 but has spent pre-season training with United alongside fellow keepers’ Ger Hanley and Connor Gleeson.

Winn began his SSE Airtricity League career at Eamonn Deacy Park in 2011, spending two seasons with United before departing for Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk respectively.

Galway United manager Tommy Dunne said: “We’re pleased to bring Conor in to our group, we want as much competition for places as possible at the club.

“Conor has come in, done his work in pre-season with Mark Cobey (goalkeeping coach) and earned himself a deal, it’s up to him now to push on and make the jersey his own.”

Winn will wear the number 25 jersey in the forthcoming season.
