Dundalk have completed the signing of midfielder Ronan Finn from Shamrock Rovers.
The SSE Airtricity League champions have made Finn their fifth new signing for 2015, reportedly on a two-year deal.
After spells with UCD and Sporting Fingal, Finn moved to Rovers and shone over four seasons.
He helped Rovers to the Europa League group stages, as well as four domestic medals including a league title.
Finn revealed that working with former Hoops boss Stephen Kenny was a major factor in joining the Lilywhites.
He said: “I’m very happy to get it done finally. It was never in doubt really. It was going to happen but with holidays and work it just didn’t. It’s great to get it done and before Christmas as well is a plus. I can’t wait to get started and I am really happy to be at Dundalk.
“Stephen was the main reason I wanted to come here. I have a great relationship with him. I played really well for him before and I just want to get back to that again. He’s a really good person and he’s a great manager.
“It’s all positive and I am very excited about the year ahead now. Signing for the best club in the country is great and it’s a very exciting time for the fans and the town so hopefully we can push on and do well next year.”
