SSE Airtricity League champions Dundalk have signed Bray midfielder Jake Kelly for the 2015 season.
The 24-year-old was a member of St Patrick’s Athletic’s title winning squad of 2013 before joining Bray last season where he helped the Wicklow side avoid relegation.
Kelly, who had been approached by a number of clubs in recent weeks, began his career at Bray, making his debut in 2008, before moving on to St Pat’s in 2012.
Kelly said: “I am absolutely delighted to have signed. It’s great to have it sorted. Stephen sold the club to me when I met him a few weeks ago and I am really excited to be part of it.
“They’re the champions and I was in talks with a few other clubs but I really wanted to come here after talking to Stephen and I’m glad to have it all done.
“They played the best football in the league last year and they were worthy champions. They were great to watch last year and that was a big factor in my decision to come here.
“The style of play is something that I want to be part of and I really can’t wait to get going now. I know everyone says that but I really can’t wait for pre-season to start and get into it.”
