Bohemians have announced the appointment of Keith Long as the club’s first-team manager.
Long leaves his position at Athlone Town following their relegation from the SSE Airtricity Premier Division.
Bohs have moved quickly following the recent departure of Owen Heary to Sligo Rovers.
Long, 40, arrives at Dalymount Park having managed Bray Wanderers and Athlone.
He impressed at the midlanders despite the relegation, coming close to avoid the drop despite taking over after 10 successive league defeats at the start of the season.
“We would like to welcome Keith to the club and look forward to him building on the progress Bohemians made this season,” said Bohemian club president Matt Devaney.
“Keith is a young and ambitious manager who matches well the ethos at Bohemian Football Club and will help develop it.”
Keith Long said: “I am delighted to be taking over as manager of Bohemian FC and I am very much looking forward to working at this great football club.
“Preparations for next season will begin immediately and we will endeavour to build on the progress made this year.”
