Premier Division title chasers Dundalk dominate the PFAI team of the year, while Pat Hoban and Richie Towell are shortlisted for player of the year.
The duo are nominated alongside St Patrick’s Athletic’s Christy Fagan, scorer of 19 league goals, and veteran Colin Healy of title rivals Cork City.
Everton’s Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy, and Eoin Doyle of Chesterfield are nominated in the overseas player of the year category.
In addition to Hoban and Towell, the team of the year includes four more Lilywhites players, Sean Gannon, Andy Boyle, Brian Gartland and Daryl Horgan, and three from Cork City, Mark McNulty and Mark O'Sullivan along with Healy.
Saints defender Ian Bermingham also makes the selection with team-mate Fagan.
Friday's league showdown between Dundalk and Cork City is live on RTÉ2 from 7.30pm.
