UCD Waves shot to the top of the Continental Tyres Women’s National League with an emphatic 14-3 victory over Peamount in Greenogue.
Eileen Gleeson’s side knocked 14 goals past her old club, with Aine O’Gorman finding the net on four occasions and Caroline Thorpe snatching a hat-trick.
Peamout’s Amber Barrett grabbed a debut hat-trick, bagging one just before the break. Waves led by eight goals to one at half time.
Jetta Berrill bagged two goals and Dora Gorman, Rebekah Carrol, Emily Cahill, Orlagh Nolan and Julie-Anne Russell all got one each, bringing Waves' goal difference to plus 17 for the season.
Meanwhile, Wexford Youths Women's AFC picked up their third win of the campaign with a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Galway WFC at Ferrycarrig Park.
Claire O’Riordan bagged a hat-trick for the Model County side and took just seven minutes to get off the mark.
Kara Mullins struck Galway’s equaliser on 26 minutes, only for O’Riordan to restore the Wexford side’s advantage from the restart. O’Riordan made it three within 35 minutes.
Kylie Murphy made it four – one just after the restart, with Aisling Frawley bagging Wexford’s fifth just before the hour mark.
The Cork City Women’s versus Raheny United tie was postponed to allow Raheny United prepare for their UEFA Women’s champions league tie against Bristol Academy on Thursday.
