Avondale United 1-1 Finn Harps
Munster Senior League side Avondale United's FAI Cup dream remains very much alive after they secured a 1-1 draw with Finn Harps in their quarter-final clash at Carrigaline to ensure a replay.
Despite being without the experience of talismanic midfielder Michael Mulconry, who was suspended, the FAI Intermediate Cup holders gave as good as they got in the first-half, frustrating Harps and the sides went in level at the break.
The deadlock was eventually broken on 51 minutes courtesy of Harps' midfielder Michael Funston.
However Avondale battled back and a headed equaliser from Danny Long with 13 minutes left on the clock made sure that the sides will meet again on Wednesday.
