Republic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane was named the Senior International Player of the Year at the 24th Three FAI International Football Awards, which took place at the RTÉ studios in Dublin on Sunday evening.

Eskilstuna United’s Louise Quinn was crowned the women’s Senior International Player of the Year.

Shane Long's momentous goal against England during a friendly last May was voted the Three International Goal of the Year, as voted for by the public.

While Everton's James McCarthy captured the Young International Player of the Year for the second year running, Sean Murray was crowned the U21 Player of the Year

St Patrick's Athletic's Killian Brennan was voted the SSE Airtricity League Player of the year after a season in which he helped the Saints return to the top of the League of Ireland.  

Former Republic of Ireland midfielder, Ronnie Whelan was inducted into the FAI Hall of Fame, while Serbian legend Dejan Stankovic was awarded the International Personality of the Year award.

Ciara Grant received the special merit award in recognition of her remarkable international career as one of the greatest female players in Irish football.
