St Patrick’s Athletic have confirmed the signing of striker Mark Quigley for the 2014 season who joins the club on a free transfer following his release from Shamrock Rovers.

The 28 year-old links up with the Saints for a second spell having played with the Inchicore outfit from 2006 to 2009, making 154 appearances and scoring 52 goals at that time.

Quigley's other clubs include Bohemians, Dundalk and Sligo Rovers, before last year's spell with the Hoops.

Several injuries limited the striker's involvement throughout the year, however he played a part in the club's Setanta Sports Cup, EA Sports Cup and Leinster Senior Cup successes.

In 2012 he was named PFAI Player of the Year award for his impressive form with Sligo Rovers as the Bit o'Red won their first league title in 35 years.
