David Forde will miss the Republic of Ireland’s upcoming international clash with Wales on 14 August due to a knee injury.
Following a scan with his club Millwall yesterday, it was decided Forde will undergo surgery this afternoon on the injury picked up in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Yeovil at The Den.
Sunderland’s Keiren Westwood is expected to start between the posts for the match in Wales, while Darron Randolph is also in contention.
