Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been tracking the 23-year-old since the summer and is keen to bring in the England international as soon as the transfer window opens next month.
It is understood that Sturridge will be in Liverpool tomorrow and Monday for further negotiations and a medical with a view to him completing a move in just over a week's time.
