Derry City got back to winning ways when they overcame a battling Bohemians side 2-0 at the Brandywell.
Goals from Conor Murphy and Stephen McLaughlin, ensured the Candystripes won at home for the first time in a number of months.
City now move ahead of tonight’s opponents in the league table on goal difference with both sides on 26 points, Derry with a game in hand.
The Brandywell men had a great chance to take the lead on nine minutes when Simon Madden's teasing centre from the right found Stephen McLaughlin, but his diving header from six yards failed to trouble Bohs keeper Andy McNulty.
City continued to press forward and they went close again but this time Ryan McBride's effort on the half-volley from 12 yards flew well over the bar.
The deadlock was broken on 28 minutes when Ruaidhri Higgins' header inside the Bohs penalty box fell perfectly for Conor Murphy and the striker was quick to react to fire the ball low pass McNulty.
The Dubliners had a half chance to equalise early in the second half when Andy Mulligan broke clear of the City back-line, but his shot from 16 yards was straight at Gerard Doherty.
Minutes later a deep free-kick by Dermot McCaffrey found Higgins at the back post, his header found Stewart Greacen who in turn nodded it to McLaughlin, but the left winger's overhead kick was parried away by McNulty.
Substitute Dwayne Wilson nearly levelled things on 83 minutes but his stinging drive from the edge of the box was tipped over by Doherty.
Then some determined play by Molloy saw the captain win a tackle before getting back to his feet and playing in McLaughlin, who gleefully rushed in to side-foot past McNulty.
