Republic of Ireland Under-21 manager Noel King feels Robbie Brady is poised to become a star of the future.
Brady has been in superb form in Ireland's Group Seven qualifying campaign to date, scoring three goals and creating four others in five games to raise hopes of a play-off place.
The 20-year-old left winger goes into tonight's clash with Turkey at Sligo's Showgrounds on a high after pulling on a senior shirt for Manchester United for the first time last month.
Brady figured in pre-season friendly victories over AmaZulu FC and Shanghai Shenhua, and was an unused substitute in the more high-profile clash with Barcelona six days ago.
Even Republic boss Giovanni Trapattoni considered Brady for tomorrow's friendly with Serbia in Belgrade, however the Under-21s Euro 2013 cause is greater.
"From our perspective we're delighted to have him," said King.
"I know the senior manager wanted him in for the game against Serbia, but he has allowed us to have him, so I'm very pleased with that.
"But I would imagine if Robbie keeps making the progress he has been then he will certainly play for the senior team quite a number of times.
"You never know in football, but at the moment it certainly looks like he is going to do that because he is a bright talent."
With three matches remaining - the other two in Hungary and group leaders Italy next month - there is now little margin for error for King's players.
After claiming 10 points from five matches to date, the Republic are aiming for one of the four best runner-up slots from the 10 groups, and face Turkey knowing victory is vital.
From an original 22-man squad there have been five withdrawals - Rhys Murphy, Aaron Doran, Gavin Gunning, Jeff Hendrick and Sean Murray - leading to a call up for Ipswich's Ronan Murray and UCD's Paul Corry.
