Sara Lawlor bagged an impressive hat-trick to keep Peamount United's UEFA Champions League aspirations alive as the Irish champions beat Israeli side ASA Tel-Aviv 5-0 in Sarajevo.

The Peas bounced back from their opening game loss to the host club in Group Five to get right back into contention with an emphatic victory thanks to Lawlor's treble.

Peamount became the first Irish club ever to qualify for the UEFA Women's Champions League last season and they can still progress to the knock-out stages with a victory over Welsh outfit UWIC on Thursday.

The top sides in each group will go through to the next stage, with the best four runners-up also progressing.

Julie-Ann Russell put Peamount ahead after a Chloe Mustaki corner in the fifth minute against the Israelis, who had beaten UWIC 5-0 in their opening fixture.

Another Mustaki corner produced the second goal in the 41st minute, with Lawlor opening her account to put Peamount in control of the tie.

Stephanie Roche extended Peamount's lead in the 58th minute before yet another Mustaki delivery from a corner ended up with Pemount going 4-0 up through Lawlor in the 62nd minute.

That goal wiped off Peamount's goal deficit and Lawlor ensured they went into their final fixture with a positive goal difference when she completed her hat-trick in the 90th minute.
