Ireland set for Oman friendly match

The FAI have confirmed that the Republic of Ireland will play Oman in a friendly in Craven Cottage next month.

Ireland will meet Paul Le Guen’s side on Tuesday 11 September in the home of Premier League side Fulham with a 7:30pm kick-off.

It will be the first ever meeting of the sides and the third time Ireland have played at the London venue.

Giovanni Trapattoni’s side will play Kazakhstan four days previously in their first World Cup qualifier.
