Sligo Rovers manager Ian Baraclough says that his team won’t be playing for a draw when they take on Spartak Trnava of Slovakia on Thursday night in the second qualifying round of the Europa League.
The English man said: “The onus is on Spartak to get a result against us on their own patch and I feel there is certain area we can break them down.
"An away goal would be crucial for us. There is no way we’re going to sit back and just try to soak up pressure for 90 minutes.”
Alan Keane (calf) is the only injury concern for the Bit o’ Red and he will be assessed closer to kick-off.
Baraclough, who flew to Slovakia last week on a scouting mission, added that he was confident he had a strong enough squad to cope with the demands of both domestic and international competitions.
“To go and compete in Europe and on three front you’ve got to have numbers. Certainly if it was before the window opened I would have been a bit nervous as we were high on quality but low on numbers.
"We’ve got a competitive squad that can absorb game after game in a short space of time,” he said.
