Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the brink of PSG move

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to complete his move to big-spending Paris St Germain tomorrow.

PSG sporting director Leonardo confirmed this evening that the Sweden international is due to undergo a medical tomorrow, after which he is set to put pen to paper on his contract with the Ligue 1 club.

Leonardo told reporters outside PSG's Parc des Princes stadium: "Tomorrow he (Ibrahimovic) will take his medical and hopefully, if all goes to plan, he will sign the contract.

"This is a big year for PSG. That a player of his calibre has come to Paris, it's enormous. This is a player who could change everything. "

Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola, meanwhile, was quoted as saying by www.leparisien.fr: "Zlatan is very excited. This is not a player that you can force to do what he doesn't want to do. He's very excited at the idea of taking on this challenge. PSG was his first choice."

Neither PSG or Milan have yet to make an announcement about the transfer on their websites, but the big-spending Ligue 1 outfit have scheduled a press conference for tomorrow afternoon.

The 30-year-old Ibrahimovic, who had a contract with Milan until June 2015, was Serie A's top scorer last season, netting 28 goals as the Rossoneri finished runners-up to Juventus.

If the former Barcelona, Juve, Inter Milan and Ajax forward completes his move he will link back up with former Milan team-mate Thiago Silva, who joined PSG on Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti's side finished second in Ligue 1 behind Montpellier last season.
