2140 Not a great night for Irish football as both Sligo Rovers and St Pat's are knocked out of the Europa Cup, leaving Shamrock Rovers as the only Irish side going in to Friday's draw. Not many positives to be taken from either game as both sides were outclassed by the superior opposition. At least St Pat's will get to play on their own home pitch on Sunday following tonight's 'home' tie at Tallaght Stadium. Good night.
2136 It's all over at Tallaght Stadium as St Pat's make their exit from the Europa Cup. Not a great day for the Inchicore club but hopefully lessons are learnt all round and the club can get back to domestic action and continue their challenge for the league title.
2135 FULL TIME St Pat's Ath 1-3 FC Karpaty Lviv (Agg 1-5)
2128 GOAL 1-3 (Agg 1-5) And that final whistle cannot come quick enough as Igor Oschypko scores Karpaty make it three.
2124 Into the last ten minutes now and St Pat's can hopefully put this disasterous week behind them and concentrate on Sunday's game with UCD.
2117 Conor Kenna is on for Evan McMillan. A welcome sight to see Kenna back in action after such a long time on the bench.
2108 GOAL 1-2 (Agg 1-4) Danny North had come on for Doyle as Saints went in search of goals but Karpathy break and Khudobyak seals the result for the visitors.
2100 GOAL 1-1 (Agg 1-3) Evan McMillan scores the equaliser for Saints. Three more needed to progress. One more quickly and you never know.
2055 Second half kicked off in Tallaght.
2040 RTE Sport's MNS man on the scene, @EamonnDonohoe tweeting from Tallaght - 'Dull game, horrible atmosphere'. Succinct but a suitable summary of the first half.
2035 HT St Pat's Ath 0-1 FC Karpaty Lviv (Agg 0-3)
2026 Busy couple of minutes for Shane McFaul as his set-piece ends up in the net but the whistle was long gone for a foul and then he picks up a booking a minute later. Evan McMillen also booked.
2024 Yellow card for goalscorer Zenjov for a foul on McMillan. Saints win a corner but cannot capitalise.
2020 That substitution was not performance related but Bradley picked up a knock and has gone off. A banner has been unveiled in the stadium reading 'For the Love not the Money'
2015 Early substitution for Saints as Daly comes on for Bradley.
2011 GOAL 0-1 The visitors break through with a goal by Zenjov. Any chance St Pat's had now seem to be gone as they will need four to progress.
2010 Martínez gets a shot away but misses the target. Reports from the ground suggest that the Pat's players were booed by some of their own fans as the teams were announced.
2000 The St Pat's starting line-up is as follows - Rogers, Pender, Bermingham, Evan McMillan, McFaul, Kavanagh, Bradley, David McMillan, Doyle, Shortall, Mulcahy. Subs: Bennion, Kenna, North, Crowley, Guthrie, Murphy, Daly.
1950 Game on at Tallaght Stadium. Early pressure from Karpaty winning a corner but Saints deal with the danger and clear.
1934 It's all over at The Showgrounds and the Ukraine side march on to the next qualifying round. Sligo players know that they have been outclassed tonight and will have no complaints with the result. The away performance will now be long remebered in Sligo's history and it shows the quality of the away showing by Cook's side. Right then, what's happening over in Tallaght as St Pat's look to do the near impossible and overturn a 2-0 defecit.
1928 Just over two minutes left at The Showgrounds and all Sligo's thoughts will now switch back to domestic action as Paul Cook's side looks to maintain their title challenge with a league game against Dundalk on Sunday.
1920 Another chance for Markoski but Peers gets back to block for a corner.
1918 Chance for number three for Poltava as Markoski gets clear but his chipped attempt just goes wide of the post and should have really scored there. Clarke does well in fairness to him, out quick to narrow the angle.
1914 Chance for McGuinness but his header goes straight at the keeper. Need something to happen soon or else this game is going to lose its intensity.
1911 Sachko's last contribution as he is subbed. Blinkhorn and Cretaro off for Dillon and Russell. That's the three subs on now for the home side and the third sub, Eoin Doye moves into the centre forward position.
1907 Danger for Sligo as Poltava break forward. Sachko crashes one off the crossbar and Rovers breathe a sigh of relief but have to deal with a corner.
1903 Nice bit of Sligo pressure earning a corner. Cretaro tries to get a shot away but ball clear and Poltava counter attack.
1855 Half-time verdict from RTE.ie's @RoryHouston at The Showgrounds - "Devastating double blow with first goal hesitancy in defence and then a clinical move seconds later. Crowd deflated but there is 45 minutes left and Cook is likely to go for it. Not many chances for Rovers. It'll be all or nothing in the early stages."
1835 HT Sligo Rvrs 0-2 Vorskla Poltava A disappointing first half but Sligo are not out of it just yet. A horrible double whammy after handling the pressure for the opening 15 minutes. An early goal in the second half and we're back in business. Here's hoping.
1828 Two minutes added at the end of first half. Powell does well again and Sligo win a corner. A great time to score now, lads... N'Do with the corner. McGuinness gets a head on it but its over the bar and that should be it for the first half.
1824 Heavy tackle on Powell gives Sligo a chance to get the ball into the box. Kirby and N'do play a clever free but the ball is cleared.
1822 Another yellow card for Sligo with Ventre joining Peers in the ref's notebook.
1820 N'do gradually getting into the game and getting a bit of control in the midfield. Blinkhorn almost played in but the striker is offside. Crowd starting to find their voice again as Rovers start to compete.
1811 Great chance for Sligo as N'Do swings a ball into the box. Cretaro heads back across and there is a bit of a melee in the box after one of the Poltava players falls on the ball. Free out is the result but at least encouraging signs for the home side who should get a bit of a boost from that. A goal before half time would get Sligo back into this tie.
1810 Crowd have naturally gone a bit quiet at The Showgrounds. Sligo seem to be settling a little bit at least with Conor Powell and Richie Ryan pushing Sligo on. Ryan has a shot on goal but it is blocked.
1803 Goalscorers for Poltava were Serhiy Zakarliuka after 16 minutes and Pavlo Rebenok who netted the second after 17 minutes.
1759 GOAL 0-2 Disaster at The Showgrounds as Poltava score a second sixty seconds after conceding the first.
1758 GOAL 0-1 Hammer blow for Rovers as the visitors' pressure reaps rewards.
1752 Game on at The Showgrounds. Early pressure from the visitors and breaking fast with the ball as Sligo commit men forward. Richie Ryan getting involved early on and could be key for Sligo.
1740 Just five minutes to kick off now at The Showgrounds. Should be a great night for Sligo fans and an amazing atmosphere is guaranteed.
1645 But first things first so let's forget about Saints and their interal affairs for a while and turn our attentions to the north-west where The Showgrounds should be absolutely hopping later on as a full house will be present to shout on the Bit o' Red into the next round of the competition. Hopefully.
1630 Good afternoon. Well there has been plenty of excitement already today before a ball has even been kicked, as both Sligo Rovers and St Patrick’s Athletic look to join Shamrock Rovers in the fourth qualifying round of the Europa League.
The St Pat's clash will definitely now go ahead after the players, or the club, or both, did a U-turn and now the supporters can eventually start making their way over to the Luas to make the short trip to Tallaght Stadium.
Great quote from the players after the deal was done: "We have never lost focus on tonight's game and are very much looking forward to this evening's encounter with FC Karpaty Lviv." Well we'll see later on. A 2-0 defecit is tough enough to turn around on the best of days. Maybe all the anger can be used productively on the pitch.
