Sligo Rovers will be top of the league at the end of the day if they beat Drogheda United at the Showgrounds, kick-off 7.45pm.
Shamrock Rovers' defeat to Derry City last night means the Bit o' Red can leapfrog those two sides and St Patrick's Athletic into top spot.
Iarfhlaith Davoren's early return from injury is a welcome boost for Sligo boss Paul Cook.
'Iarfhlaith is back this week, which is great news,' said Cook. 'He trained fully for the first time on Thursday morning so he is in contention for this weekend.
'It could be a difficult game because they will get men behind the ball and put pressure on us.
'We know that we have to do the right things, keep the ball and stay patient and try to work out the result.'
Drogheda will have their work cut out to get anything from tonight as the home side have kept six straight clean sheets.
'I've always said that Sligo would be the main challenge to Shamrock Rovers and this is something I still believe,' said Drogheda manager Mick Cooke.
'They are by far the best footballing side in the league, so we know what we are up against when we go there.
'Of course we will still be going up there with the mindset to get something from the game.'
Cooke will be without the injured pair of Tiernan Mulvenna and Jack Flynn.
