Longford Town have signed former Northern Ireland international Keith Gillespie until the end of the Airtricity First Division season.
Gillespie (36), capped 86 times for Northern Ireland, recently played for Glentoran in the Irish Premier League and also had a spell at Darlington that ended last December.
Gillespie is familiar with the club having played a friendly for Sheffield United in 2007 during which he formed a friendship with the Longford board through their mutual relationship with sponsor Munnelly Support Services Limited.
The midfielder is set to make his first appearance as a Town player in the midlands derby against Athlone Town on 2 April.
