Blackburn have made a double signing on deadline day with he capture of Argentinian midfielder Mauro Formic and Barcelona striker Ruben Rochina both for an undisclosed fee.

Blackburn have signed Formica on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

Formic, the highly-rated 22-year-old arrives from Newell's Old Boys for an undisclosed fee and becomes Rovers manager Steve Kean's fourth signing of the transfer window.

'Mauro is a fantastic talent, an attacking player who has been in great demand,' Kean told Rovers' official website.

'He has great technical ability and is a typical Argentinian with a bit of fight and a bit of devilment in him.'

Rochina signs for an undisclosed fee.

The 19-year-old has signed a contract to keep him at Ewood Park until the summer of 2015.

Blackburn boss Steve Kean told www.rovers.co.uk: 'Ruben is a genuine addition to our senior squad, a young player with great ability who can play in a number of attacking positions.'
