The top six clubs in the English Premier League are all featured on Premier Soccer Saturday on RTÉ Two, which is back the usual start time of 8:00pm.

The leaders Manchester United were beaten by West Ham United in the Carling Cup on Tuesday and they will be hoping to bounce back and maintain their unbeaten Premier League record when they travel to Blackpool.

Chelsea dropped to second last weekend but they only trail United by two points.

They could be top of the table before Manchester United even take to the field at Blackpool.

They host Everton at Stamford Bridge. Everton are 16th in the table but are unbeaten in their last four league matches against the champions.

Only goal difference separates Arsenal and Chelsea.

Arsene Wenger's team are home to Fulham on Saturday. The Gunners have not lost a league match in December for three years and are strongly fancied to defeat Mark Hughes’ men, who have registered only two wins since the start of the campaign.

Bolton Wanderers have been one of the surprise packages of the season and they go into this weekend in sixth position.

They face a serious test on Saturday as they head to fourth-placed Manchester City

Premier Soccer Saturday will also feature the best of the action from St Andrew's as Tottenham Hotspur visit Birmingham City.

Viewers will have another chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to the Merseyside Derby in January.

I'm joined by former Republic of Ireland internationals Ronnie Whelan and Richie Sadlier.

The programme begins on RTÉ Two at 8:00pm.
