The European Cup medal won by George Best in 1968 has been sold at auction for £156,000 (€177,000).
The medal, won by Best when Manchester United beat Porto 4-1 after extra time at Wembley Stadium, easily cleared its estimate of £90-120,000.
Best died in 2005 aged 59. His sister will receive the proceeds of the sale.
