Ipswich boss Roy Keane conceded his side had not done enough to take anything from the npower Championship game against Reading, losing 1-0, but bemoaned his side's inability to score.

With both sides reduced to 10 men after Reading's Matt Mills and Ipswich's Luke Hyam saw red for two bookings apiece, the game looked to be destined for a goalless draw.

But Simon Church popped up with two minutes remaining to seal the win and move above Ipswich in the table and into the play-off spots.

Keane said: ‘I am not sure we deserved to win. Anyone who knows anything about football knows that if you don't put the ball in the back of the net then trust me you are going nowhere fast.

‘We didn't play bad but if you don't get goals you will not win. Our leading scorer got eight goals last season and if that happens again we are in trouble.

‘I do think our strikers need a little more to work from as well. It's a team game and we all have to do better.

‘I have been in enough games where it's nip and tuck at the end and with five minutes to go the home team win.

‘We should have done better against the set piece that led to the goal and we were slow to get out.

‘I thought our red card was coming. The referee was quite quick to send him off but I have no complaints.

‘The back four have done well because Reading are good going forward. We now have a couple of suspensions but don't worry, we can get 11 out for the next game.’
