Bohemians moved into third place in the Airtricity League Premier Division table after defeating Bray Wanderers 2-0 at Dalymount Park.
A goal in either half from former Sligo Rovers striker Raffaele Cretaro secured the points for Pat Fenlon’s side.
The victory moves Bohs ahead of Sligo Rovers and Sporting Fingal and to within five points of league leaders Shamrock Rovers.
Elsewhere, Michael O’Neill’s Hoops were beaten 2-1 by Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds in the semi-final of the EA Sports Cup.
Gary Twigg had put Rovers ahead but two goals from former Hoop Padraig Amond saw Paul Cook’s Sligo progress to the final.
And the Bit O’ Red will face First Division side Monaghan United in the final after Mick Cooke’s side proved too strong for Premier Division side Dundalk at Gortakeegan.
Cathal O’Connor’s left-foot strike with four minutes remaining was the difference between the sides as Monaghan marched on to the final.
