Guti has brought the curtain down on a 15-year professional career with Real Madrid and now looks set for Turkish side Besiktas.
The 33-year-old made his debut for the Spanish giants in December 1995, having joined the club as a nine-year-old. He now looks set to join Besiktas, who are coached by former Real boss Bernd Schuster.
Guti was most instrumental in the side which won the Primera Division title in 2001, as he scored 14 goals for the capital club.
In total, he played 542 matches for Real in a variety of positions, scored 77 goals and won 15 trophies including five league titles and three Champions League successes.
Speaking at a press conference in Madrid today, Guti said: ‘Thank you to everyone. I go knowing that Real Madrid will always be my home.
‘I leave knowing that Real Madrid wants me and that is very important.’
