Maradona showed the world just what a talent he was against England in 1986.
Four minutes after he had infamously punched the ball into the English net in this quarter-final clash at the Aztec Stadium, Maradona's true class showed through when he picked up the ball inside his own half, and then turned past Peter Reid and Peter Beardsley as he started on a run into the English half.
England were now stretched at the back - Terry Butcher and Terry Fenwick both came to challenge him and both were left wondering where Maradona and the ball had gone.
Goalkeeper Peter Shilton was now all that stood between Maradona and the goal and the number ten waltzed around the English number one as if he was not even there, before slotting home to score arguably the finest goal to grace the World Cup finals.
