Ellis Park in Johannesburg is primarily known as a rugby venue.
Built in 1928, it was reconstructed in 1982. It was also given a significant face-lift before the 2009 Confederations Cup.
Ellis Park was used for the 1995 Rugby World Cup, and was the venue for Nelson Mandela's appearance in a Springbok jersey to support the winning national team.
The 62,000-capacity stadium will host seven matches at World Cup 2010, including a quarter-final.
