Steven Reid has extended his loan spell with West Bromwich Albion until the end of the season.

The Blackburn Rovers man is out of contract in June and has figured predominantly at right-back during his month-long spell.

Reid will now stay on until 2 May, although Rovers do have the right to recall him.

Reid told the club's official website: ‘I've played five 90-minute games in 21 days. Before that I hadn't played five 90-minute matches in the league in well over a year.

‘My future's a bit uncertain. If I do well then it would be nice, contract-wise, if something could be there.

‘If I keep performing well and that leads to a longer stay at the club then I will be delighted.’

Meanwhile Wigan Athletic have recalled Ben Watson from his loan with the Baggies.
