The 23-year-old will join fellow ex-Wanderers players Derek Pender and Gareth Coughlan in the new-look Pat’s squad.

Having played with Galway United in the Premier Division last season, Guthrie a 25-year-old central defender also had spells with Cobh Ramblers and Shamrock Rovers.

Guthrie said: ‘I knew John Gill (St Pat’s assistant manager) from my time at Cork and also when he was involved with the U-23 squad, so I was delighted to get a call from him and Pete about joining Pat’s.’
