England midfielder David Beckham will rejoin AC Milan on loan from LA Galaxy in January, the Italian club said on Monday.
Beckham, 34, spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan and is returning to Serie A to maintain his form and fitness and try to secure his place in England's squad for the World Cup finals in South Africa next year.
Beckham joined Los Angeles Galaxy in July 2007 in a mega-money five-year deal in a bid to promote soccer in the United States but the team struggled at first.
He went on loan to AC Milan in January 2009 and angered Galaxy fans by staying until the end of the Italian season and missing the start of the U.S. campaign.
With Beckham back, the Galaxy won their divisional title in October 2009 before another January loan to Milan was announced so he could stay in the England frame for the 2010 World Cup.
