Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has signed a new two-year extension to his current contract with the club.
The 29-year-old Frenchman, who had two years remaining on his existing deal, has ended speculation over his future at Stamford Bridge by signing a new deal that will now keep him at the club until 2013.
Malouda, who enjoyed a fine end to the Barclays Premier campaign under interim coach Guus Hiddink, was linked with a move to AC Milan.
But a spokesman for Chelsea confirmed to PA Sport: 'The club and the player have agreed terms on a new four-year contract.'
Malouda had two years remaining on his existing deal and was expected to move on, especially when the London club were linked with a move for Russian Yuri Zhirkov.
But the France international is now staying at Stamford Bridge.
'I can reveal that I have signed a new two-year deal with Chelsea,' said Malouda.
'I am staying. From now on, I have four years left on my contract.
'I know that every time the transfer window opens there are a lot of rumours and I hope in this one people will know what has happened.'
Malouda had struggled to settle into English football following his £13.5million transfer from Lyon in 2007.
But he returned to top form under Hiddink and eventually started 31 games for the Blues last term - scoring seven goals including a crucial equaliser in the FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal.
Sturridge on way to the Bridge
Meanwhile, Manchester City's talented teenager Daniel Sturridge is to join Chelsea this summer but the exact fee will be decided by a tribunal.
The two clubs have failed to reach an agreement on a suitable compensation package but as the player is under 24, he is not available to sign on a Bosman-style free transfer.
The 19-year-old's contract expires at the end of the summer and City are looking to get a 'development fee' of around £10 million from Chelsea.
Chelsea's valuation of the teenager is thought to be somewhat lower at an estimated £3 million.
City rejected Chelsea's initial package and it is now likely that a settlement of around £5 million will be agreed which will include a number of add-on clauses related to performance and appearances.
Sturridge is one of the game's top prospects and highly rated by City boss Mark Hughes. But the player is understood to have staggered City by demanding a contract worth a reported £55,000-a-week.
Sturridge was approached by Chelsea's Sporting Director, Frank Arnesen, who had been monitoring the player's progress for three years.
Sturridge made 16 league appearances for City last season and scored four goals.
