Newcastle United will open their pre-season campaign in Ireland with a friendly against Shamrock Rovers.
The managerless Magpies will play the League of Ireland Premier Division side at the Tallaght Stadium in Dublin on Saturday, 11 July (kick-off 3pm) after a short training camp.
They will continue their preparations for the new season in England with visits to Darlington and Huddersfield Town before a home game against Leeds United, and with then head north of the border to face Dundee United.
