Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz has finally sealed a transfer to Manchester City, according to reports.
The Sky Blues made a succession of bids to bring the player to Eastlands during the January transfer window, but Blackburn Rovers refused to sell.
But now BBC Sport reports that the deal has been sealed, meaning Santa Cruz can rejoin former manager Mark Hughes at City.
The buy-out clause in Santa Cruz’s contract is thought to be around £18m.
Hughes brought the Paraguayan to Blackburn from the Bundesliga when he was in charge at Ewood Park.
Santa Cruz did not play towards the end of the season due to a knee injury and has openly expressed his wish to leave Blackburn.
His signing would be Man City's second of the summer, after Gareth Barry joined from Aston Villa for £12m.
Santa Cruz made 70 appearances for Rovers, netting 29 goals.
But the player will make a swift return to Ewood Park, as Man City's first game of next season is away at Blackburn.
