Portsmouth have followed Sunderland's lead by slashing season ticket prices for next term by as much as £120.
Prices have been cut across the board with supporters in the south stand, north stand and Fratton end all now paying the same.
Sunderland announced last week they would be selling junior season tickets for as little as £19, and Pompey executive chairman Peter Storrie revealed the current financial climate had prompted them to take similar action.
He told www.portsmouthfc.co.uk: ‘We have the smallest capacity of any ground in the Premier League and we need to generate as much revenue as we can.
‘But in these current economic circumstances it is only right that we do not do it at the expense of our supporters.
‘Our fans are fantastic and have backed us through thick and thin. These reductions are a way of saying thanks to them for their passionate and loyal support.’
