In its efforts to stay afloat, cash strapped Drogheda United FC has reached its initial fundraising target of €100,000.

Phase Two of the Save The Drogs Campaign starts now, and the club have arranged for loans of either €4,000, €3,000 or €2,000 to be provided by the Allied Irish Bank in Drogheda, and the bank has committed to making transactions as seamless as possible.

Everyone who commits to taking out a loan will receive a season ticket for each €1,000 loaned, so if you take out a €4,000 loan, you will get a season ticket for four years.

If you are interested in helping to save the club through this scheme, full details can be found on the Drogheda United website www.DroghedaUnited.ie or you can contact the club at info@DroghedaUnited.ie for further details.
