Goals in each half from Keith Fahey and Ryan Guy sealed a comfortable final-night win for St Pat’s against a Drogheda side who are battling to survive in the League of Ireland.

With strike action averted the day before, the Drogs fielded a strong side, but fell behind to a 35-yard wonder strike from Fahey on 14 minutes.

The home side had their best chances just before half time when Fahrudin Kuduzovic forced a fine save from Lance Friesz and headed the resulting corner onto the roof of the net.

Pat’s secured the points on 78 minutes when Guy turned Shaun Maher in the box and fired past Paul Skinner.
