The players of current eircom League of Ireland Champions Drogheda United have been told the club can no longer afford to pay their wages.
Players were called into a meeting today where it was revealed the club intends to go part-time from next season.
The only money available to pay bills from now until the end of the season is matchday gate receipts.
Drogheda will take on Bohemians tomorrow in a game that could see the Gypsies clinch the Premier League.
