Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni has named a 21-man squad for the World Cup qualifier against Cyprus at Croke Park next Wednesday.

Goalkeeper Joe Murphy returns to the set-up alongside Shay Given and Dean Kiely, whlie Newcastle United winger Damien Duff returns from injury.

Steve Finnan, Stephen Reid and Stephen Kelly have all been ruled out of the vital clash due to injury.
