Declan Boyle of Harps tussles with Mindagu Kalonas of Bohemians

Bohemians' relentless march towards the eircom League title continued at Dalymount Park, but they were made to work for their 3-0 win over Finn Harps.

Pat Fenlon's men will admit that the margin of defeat flatters them slightly given the Donegal men held them scoreless for an hour and hit the bar in the first half.

But three goals in a thirty minute period was enough for the champions elect for whom Jason McGuinness, Glen Crowe and Gary Deegan got on the score sheet.

Both sides made changes from their contrasting results last weekend, Pat Fenlon mixing up his winning formula with Mindaugas Kalonas returning from international duty to partner Glen Crowe up top, Stephen O'Donnell, Anto Murphy and top scorer Killian Brennan returning to the midfield.

Paul Hegarty made two changes from the team that went down 3-1 to Drogheda, Declan Boyle coming in for the injured Jonathan Minnock while veteran Gary Beckett replaced the suspended Neil McCafferty up front.

An array of brave defensive work was the order of the day during the opening twenty minutes as almost every shot made was blocked. Brennan and Kalonas both had efforts for Bohs before Harps' Sean McGowan's goal bound effort was halted by opposite number Gary Deegan.

McGuinness's inch perfect through ball to Kalonas looked promising but the Lithuanian was thwarted by Declan Boyle who threw himself in front of the effort.

Brian Murphy has only picked the ball out of his net 8 times this season, but the Bohs' goalkeeper had the woodwork to thank for the preservation of that record when Beckett launched an unstoppable drive that came off the bar and went over.

There was little change after the break. The home side dominated possession but did little with it, while Harps looked dangerous with what little ball they had.

Indeed it was Stephen Parkhouse who had a great chance just before the hour mark when he dropped off his man to volley Chris Breen's fine cross over.

But that was the best of it for Harps as the tide turned. Jason McGuinness didn't have to, but he did warn Finn Harps of his aerial threat, the big centre half rising highest to meet Killian Brennan's corner on 64 minutes but David Tyrell cleared it off the line.

The Donegalmen didn't get the message and from the resultant corner the former Shamrock Rovers man made no mistake, losing his man and glancing a fine header past James Gallagher.

Ten minutes later and the lead was doubled, Kalonas's shot was too hot for James Gallagher to handle and Bohs' all time leading goal scorer Crowe pounced.

With just six minutes left Gary Deegan sealed the deal for the home side with a superb low drive that left Gallagher with no chance.
