Barcelona have reached an agreement in principal to sell midfielder Marc Crosas to Celtic.
The Catalan youngster announced last week that the Scottish champions and Primera Liga side Sevilla were both interested in his services.
A loan move to Scotland was reported to be on the cards, but Barca revealed on Wednesday they had reached an initial agreement with Celtic for a permanent transfer worth a possible €1.4million.
A statement on the Barcelona website, www.fcbarcelona.cat, read: 'FC Barcelona will receive €500,000 plus an extra €900,000 depending on the number of appearances made by the player, classification for the Champions League and any titles won.
'Furthermore, FC Barcelona will receive 25% of any possible future transfer as well as retaining the option to buy the player back at the end of the 2009/10 season for €2million.'
As yet Celtic have not confirmed the deal.
