Three second half goals eased Bray into the last 16 of the FAI Ford Cup.

When winning the competition back in 1990, the Wicklow club defeated Rockmount 3-0.

And they repeated that feat yesterday afternoon with Ger Rowe, Gavin Whelan and substitute Emeka Onwubiko on the mark.

Despite their recent FAI Intermediate Cup success, the Cork side rarely threatened Alan Gough as Wanderers recorded their ninth clean sheet in all competitions this season.

The Premier Division side needed just 90 seconds of the restart to finally make their dominance count.

From Ronan Ivory's right wing cross, Ger Rowe's header was blocked. But the Republic of Ireland U23 front man blasted the rebound to the roof of the net.

They killed off the challenge of their Munster Senior League opponents in the 54th minute.

From Alan Cawley's pin-point free-kick, Gavin Whelan powered a great diving header past a stranded Derek Slattery.

The Seagulls put the gloss on the victory in the 88th minute.

From Paul Dunphy's neat lay-off, Irish U19 striker Onwubiko curled brilliantly into the bottom corner from 16-yards.
